Isfaq Sayed has trapped yet another naive victim.
Relentless clinching, missed-time takedowns, impeccable submission defense and deadly ground-and-pound earned the unbeaten Turkish rookie a unanimous decision victory over Felipe Negochador in three rounds of the bantamweight showcase at ONE Friday Fights 64 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday. All three ringside judges gave the win to Said (6-0, 2-0 ONE), as he once again impressed on the ONE Championship stage.
Nego Chadol (6-2, 0-1 ONE) was constantly on the back foot, hypnotized by his opponent’s dominant style. After suffering a heel hook and kneebar in the second round, he managed to scramble into top position in the third and briefly went up to full mount. The Vietnam-based Brazilian was otherwise ineffective. Said boxed him in at close range, setting up takedowns when he felt the mood right and racking up points with ground-and-pound. He closed out his latest win with a double leg strike with about 15 seconds left in the third round.
The loss ended Negochador’s six-game winning streak.
In other bouts, Parham Gairati knocked down Jordan Godfredsen with a push kick to the face 46 seconds into the second round of the bantamweight Muay Thai main event. Pettomangsiri Wangkhonngorm MBK stopped the fight 1 minute 19 seconds into the first round of the flyweight Muay Thai co-main event with a finger injury from a head kick from Demputhai MC Superlek Muay Thai. In the 127-pound catchweight Muay Thai showcase, Petmorakot Sitnayoktaweeputapong defeated Dieselnoi Liamtanawat by unanimous decision. In the 126-pound catchweight Muay Thai attraction, Lamsing Saw Dechaphan defeated Dabdam Por Toh Toh Thongthawee by points to win a unanimous decision.Got Thaiphetburi won a split decision over Robocop Radgold’s Gym in a three-round 120-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout. Petninmunkorn Captaincain Boxing defeated Akkaradet Guayvankorrem with an overhand right 1 minute, 37 seconds into the first round of their atomweight Muay Thai brawl. Teay PK Saenchai knocked out Shuto Sato with a right hook 48 seconds into the first round of their 120-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout. Yohan Estupinan knocked out Kota Omori with a head kick and a follow-up strike 27 seconds into the first round of their 141-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout. Noppadet Cho Hapayak won a split decision over Nawaek Saw Sommai in a three-round 134-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout. Satoshi Katajima dropped Zhang Luming with a powerful left hook to the body 43 seconds into the second round of their 126-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout, while Shoya Ishiguro took down Bruno Azevedo with a heel hook 9 minutes, 17 seconds into their 139-pound catchweight submission grappling bout.
