Bruno Ferreira produced perhaps the most memorable finish of the UFC on ESPN 57 card.
The Brazilian was rewarded for his efforts, knocking out Dustin Stoltzfus with a spinning back elbow 4 minutes, 51 seconds into the first round of their highly-anticipated middleweight bout, earning a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus. Ferreira had to overcome an early disadvantage but kept his cool to score the eighth spinning back elbow finish in UFC history.
Meanwhile, Raul Rosas Jr. won the $50,000 prize after submitting Ricky Turcios in the second round in a bantamweight bout. After a spirited first round, the 19-year-old prospect finished his opponent via rear-naked choke at 2:22 of the second round.
Meanwhile, Zachary Reese made the most of a short night, knocking out Julian Marquez in the first round in the middleweight bout to earn a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus. The Dana White Contender Series alum finished him in just 20 seconds to earn his first promotional win.
Finally, Carlos Prates won the card’s final $50,000 “Performance of the Night” award with his win over Charlie Radke in the welterweight preliminary bout, the Brazilian dropping his opponent with a perfect knee to the body at the 4:47 mark of the opening round.
