Brady Hiestand and Garrett Armfield clearly had no hard feelings towards each other after their fight at UFC on ESPN 58 on Saturday.
Hiestand survived a knockdown by Armfield in the second round before submitting in the third in one of the most competitive bouts of the night. Afterward, both fighters shared screenshots of direct messages on Instagram, revealing their mutual respect.
After initially showing respect, Armfield asked Heistand if his armbar attempt in the first round “Bang Bang” was too tight.
“You’ve got a lot of heart,” Armfield wrote. “At least the armbar was tight?”
Hiestand countered that the most lethal move in the fight was a fart that Armfield allegedly unleashed during an armbar attempt.
“Dude, that fart was more dangerous than anything! All joking aside, that was a good fart,” Hiestand replied.
Armfield did not dispute the accusation in his response.
“Bahahahahaha. I’m dead,” he wrote.
Hiestand responded by praising his opponent.
“Thank you for a great game. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do next.”
