Collado weighed in at 155.8 pounds and Burnell at 155.6 pounds ahead of the lightweight main event scheduled for Friday at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City. PFL 5, which will feature regular season bouts at lightweight and light heavyweight, will air a preliminary card at 4:30 pm ET/1:30 pm PT on ESPN+, followed by the main event at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on ESPN and ESPN+.
Collado, a 2023 PFL lightweight finalist, began his current campaign with a second-round technical knockout win over Patrick Freire on April 12. He currently sits in xth place in the PFL lightweight standings with 5 points.
Burnell still has work to do if he’s to advance to the postseason. The UFC and Bellator MMA veteran saw his two-fight win streak come to an end with a second-round submission loss to Michael Dufort at PFL 2.
