Bobby Green is looking to bounce back quickly ahead of his upcoming UFC 304 bout.
Green will face Liverpool prospect Paddy Pimblett at UFC 304, which takes place at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, on July 27. Green will then travel across the globe to compete in UFC 305, which takes place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, on August 17.
Green is already back at UFC 305 as the cornerback for teammate Alex Reyes, who is looking to score his first UFC victory against Tom Nolan after suffering consecutive first-round knockout losses. Green is looking to make the most of his visit and has expressed interest in facing Dan Hooker, who is also keen to be on the card.
“My plan is to fight Paddy and if I can, I’d love to fight in Perth if UFC lets me,” Green said on his Instagram Story. “You pick the opponent. I heard Dan Hooker is looking for a fight. I’ll fight Dan, no problem. But all I need is for my taxes to be calculated because I’m not giving Australia $90,000 in f**king tax money. But if my plan works out, I’ll fight Paddy in London and then I’ll be gone.” [to
Australia] “For my beloved Alex Reyes to fight. I’m already going to fight, so I’m going to fight. So, if the UFC can make it happen, let’s make it happen.”
Hooker, who competes out of City Kickboxing Gym in Auckland, New Zealand, is one of the region’s most fan-favorite fighters, and Hooker’s teammate Israel Adesanya, who will challenge Drix du Plessis for the middleweight title in the main event of UFC 305, urged UFC to include “The Hangman” on the card.
Meanwhile, Hooker recently sparked rumors that he could face former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 305. However, after Oliveira denied the rumors, “The Hangman” admitted that he’d fabricated the bout.
Green is 1-3 in his last four fights and is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Jim Miller at UFC 300. First he’ll have to beat Pimbrett, who is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 296. Green is unbeaten in five UFC fights and is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 296.
Hooker, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since his hard-fought split decision win over Jalin Turner at UFC 290 in July 2023 due to a lingering hand injury.
