Nicol’s UFC deal was originally announced on “From the Stands” and confirmed by Beatdown Promotions, where he has fought for the majority of his career.

Nicol has six wins, four by technical knockout and two by submission. The former Extreme Fighting Championship flyweight champion last won via first-round TKO against Japan’s Kazunari Kitano at BeatDown Promotions 6 in March of this year.
Meanwhile, Mexico’s Aguilar saw his eight-fight winning streak come to an end when he suffered a first-round submission loss to Tayslo Taila in his UFC debut in February 2023. However, the 28-year-old Aguilar then bounced back with a first-round knockout of Shannon Ross, followed by a split decision win over Matheus Mendonca.
