Following the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, some of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s top stars have voiced their support for Mr Trump.
Multiple shots were fired at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night. Trump fell to the ground, visibly bleeding on the right side of his face, and was escorted to safety. The gunman, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot and killed by Secret Service agents. Meanwhile, one attendee was killed in the shooting and another was critically wounded.
Dana White and some of UFC’s biggest stars have voiced their support for Trump, who is close to the UFC CEO and several fighters. Trump is a familiar face on UFC pay-per-view cards, most recently attending UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey, last month.
White shared a photo of Trump waving to the crowd one last time before getting into his car.
“I’m on a plane to Italy right now and my phone is full of text messages from people letting me know. [Donald
Trump] “I’ve been shot. I feel really bad and am in complete shock,” White wrote. “I don’t know how bad it is yet or if he’s OK. But… [Mick Maynard] “I was sent this photo and I wish President Trump 100% health. This photo is a perfect reflection of the person I know Donald Trump to be. He is the toughest, most tenacious, America’s Strongest Man on the planet. I hope the weak coward who shot him gets what he deserves. I can’t wait to join him on stage at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, introduce him, and tell the world exactly what kind of character I know he is, the friend and man he is!”
Meanwhile, former UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor also responded to the shooting.
“You’d think a 78 year old billionaire would be cruising golf courses on a yacht in the Mediterranean. But he’s not,” McGregor wrote to X. “He’s spitting bullets in Pennsylvania! Running for the love of country! Good luck Donald! God bless America.”
The 78-year-old billionaire should be cruising golf courses on his yacht in the Mediterranean. But he’s not. He’s spitting bullets in Pennsylvania! Running for the love of his country! Good luck to Donald! God bless the United States of America 🙏❤️

Trump is a total barbarian… A man gets shot and still gets shot for his own people…
How barbaric…
