Bellator MMA will host its first show since June, with every fighter having completed weigh-in on the 10-bout card, headlined by a lightweight title bout between Usman Nurmagomedov and Alexandre Chabri.
The unbeaten Nurmagomedov (17-0, 1 NC) is coming off an upset win over Brent Primus after failing a prescription drug test. However, the Russian was not stripped of the title he won from Patrick Freire in 2022. Nurmagomedov submitted Benson Henderson in between those two bouts and this will be his third title defense. The 26-year-old Nurmagomedov’s official weight-list is 154.8 pounds.
Meanwhile, this will be Chabri (24-3)’s first Bellator main event. “Peresvet” is 5-0 with the promotion, including wins over Freire, Primus and Tofik Musaev. The 31-year-old Chabri will be looking to put on an impressive performance in his first title shot, weighing in at 154.8 pounds.
