The welterweight showdown between Abdul Abdulaguimov and Laureano Staropoli will be the main event of the PFL European Championship on December 14th.
The promotion announced the reservation on Monday. The PFL European Finals will be held at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, and will feature championship bouts in the welterweight, lightweight, bantamweight and women’s flyweight divisions. The event will be streamed on DAZN in France and the UK.

The “Lazy King” has only lost once in 20 professional matches. The former Ares Fighting Championship middleweight titleholder has a 2-0 record thus far under the PFL banner. He made his debut with the organization in September 2023 with a first-round submission of Brad Wheeler and then scored a split verdict against Jack Grant on March 7 in the first PFL Europe 2024 regular season event.
Staropoli, who had a 2-4 record in the UFC from 2018 to 2021, has won four straight fights, including a corner stop of Bunju Baba Najombe in his PFL debut in September 2023. The Argentinian lost his last fight by first-round submission. He lost to Murad Ramazanov in PFL 3 on April 19th.
