This weekend’s Professional Fighters League “Battle of the Giants” event features special championship hardware.
The organization announced special PFL Superfight World Championship belts for two of the card’s featured matches, Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira and Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco. According to a video released by the organization, the 12.5-pound belt features 10 sides, an homage to the Smart Cage, and side plates celebrating each of the PFL’s divisions, all of which “embody the vibrant scale of PFL Superfights. “The design is perfect.”
The PFL “Battle of the Giants” will be held Saturday at Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will feature a heavyweight showdown between former UFC titleholder Ngannou and 2023 PFL Heavyweight Champion Ferreira. In the co-main event, Bellator featherweight champion “Cyborg” will face former PFL 2nd division champion Pacheco. The main card will air on pay-per-view via ESPN+ at 4pm ET/1pm PT, and the prelims will be streamed on ESPN+ at 1:30pm ET/10:30am PT.
