At UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden, Stipe Miocic, perhaps the most accomplished Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight of all time, faced John, perhaps the greatest mixed martial artist of all time and the current heavyweight champion. -Fought against Jones. And just like in the old days, Jones won a $50,000 prize for “Performance of the Night” and took home some extra money.
Former lightweight ace Charles Oliveira set a record with his 20th post-fight bonus and earned “Fight of the Night” honors with a solid performance that dominated four out of five rounds.
