All 26 fighters on the card competed at UFC Fight Night 248. That included two former main event champions, Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo, both of whom weighed under 136 pounds. The card will proceed as planned, with all matches being streamed from Macau’s Galaxy Arena.
Yan (17-5), a former 135-pound champion, is looking to prove he is still a danger to all fighters in the division. “No Mercy” defeated Yadong Song by decision in their last match, bouncing back from a three-game slump. The 31-year-old Russian stepped on the scale and weighed 135.5 pounds.
Meanwhile, Figueiredo (24-3-1) has been in great form since moving to bantamweight. The former flyweight titleholder has won three straight against Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt and Marlon Vera. The 36-year-old ‘Daiko’ is hoping to score his biggest win in the division to date and put himself in contention for a title shot. The Brazilian’s official weight was 135 pounds.
UFC Fight Night 248 will be streamed in its entirety on ESPN+. Prelims begin at 3:00 AM ET/Midnight PT and the main card begins at 6:00 AM ET/3:00 AM PT.
