The Professional Fighters League will conclude the 2024 season with six title fights.
At the top of the card for the 2024 PFL Championship season is a featherweight title bout between Brendan Loughnane and Timur Khizriyev. Both fighters were able to break below the 145 pound limit and achieve championship weight. The remaining 10 title fight participants on this card were similarly professional and on point.
Loughnane (30-5) previously won the 2022 PFL Featherweight Tournament. He will be looking to win his second title this season after his 2023 appearance was derailed by a knockout loss to Jesus Pinedo. The British fighter has bounced back this year with wins over Pedro Carvalho, Justin Gonzalez and Kai Kamaka III. The 34-year-old stepped on the scale and weighed 144.8 pounds.
Khizryev, on the other hand, is an undefeated challenger who took over from Bellator. With an impressive 17-0 record, ‘Imam’ has wins over Gabriel Braga, Enrique Barzola and Brett Johns, giving him a perfect 3-0 record in the PFL. However, he has completed six consecutive fights, all of which were decisions inside the smart cage. The Russian fighter’s weight was 144.7 pounds.
The PFL 2024 Season Championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+ starting at 1pm ET/10am PT.
