The UFC heads to Louisville, Kentucky for the second time in the promotion’s history.
The UFC Fight Night event will officially take place on June 8th at KFC Yum! Center, the promotion was announced Wednesday. I was an MMA junkie be the first to report Determine the location and venue as your top choices for your event.
Tickets will go on sale soon, but dates have not yet been announced.
WWE will hold Friday Night SmackDown at the same venue on June 7th, the night before the TKO Group’s sister organization fight card.
The promotion only held an event in Louisville more than 13 years ago. UFC on Versus 3 took place on March 3, 2011, headlined by Diego Sanchez vs. Martin Kampmann.

Kentucky’s representation in the UFC is limited. Heavyweight Don Tale Mays was born and raised in Louisville but fights in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is currently booked for the April 27th fight against Caio Machado. UFC flyweight Nate Maness, who lives in Henderson, Kentucky, is booked to fight Jimmy Flick in a week’s time on June 15th.
