(‘Iron’) Eagle has landed.
#6 ranked lightweight Michael Chandler arrives in Las Vegas just hours before his UFC 300 press conference, which will be streamed live tonight (Thursday, April 11, 2024) at 8:00 PM ET. Chandler is not scheduled to compete in UFC 300, and had he attended his teammates’ fight camp, he would have already been trapped in “Sin City.”
So what gives?
Rumors have been circulating on social media that Chandler will be present at the UFC 300 presser (watch it here), but this could be part of a special announcement from UFC CEO Dana White, confirming Conor’s long-awaited return. McGregor in June might (finally) happen.
Just in time for International Fools Fight Week.
Nothing is official at this point, and it’s possible White will hold off on making a big announcement on Saturday. UFC 300 pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast tonight (April 13). Or maybe Chandler, who coached McGregor’s opponent on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, was simply there to watch one of the year’s most “insane” fights.
If so, don’t steal his vacant nosebleed seat.
