Benson broke the news on his X handle, revealing that Davis would defend his WBA lightweight title against undefeated prospect Frank Martin on June 15 in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Benavidez will face former champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the interim light heavyweight title, moving up to 175 in pursuit of the title. A win would put him in a fight for the undisputed title against the winner of Dmitri Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev.

For Martin, who is 18-0, this is a chance to make a name for himself. He clarified his intentions to FightHub TV: “This is an opportunity for me to wake up the world.” On the other hand, for Gvozdyk, who is 20-1, his only loss was against Beterbiev, so this is an opportunity for revenge, and a win would bring him closer to that revenge fight. Someone recently threw a jab at Ryan Garcia, who has been relying on social media pranks to promote his fight event with Devin Haney. They wrote: “Tank will show us what a real sold-out event is like, not a fake one, and we don’t have to advertise a psychotic performance for that. Stay tuned #DavisvsMartin ” he wrote.

In the comments, it was pointed out that Benavidez needs to sell the PPV. Remarkably, Davis sold out over 1 million PPV purchases when he fought “KingRy.” They announced, “They needed to put a Mexican on the card to sell the PPV lol. Gervonta is no draw without Ryback.”
They needed to have a Mexican on the card to sell the PPV lol Gervonta won’t get a draw without Ryan.

Another fan thought it would be petty to release an official statement on the day Haney vs. Garcia is scheduled to take place. It was ruining Golden Boy Promotions. So they answered, “It’s boring to announce it on the day of the game.”
It’s such a small thing to announce it on game day.
