Doumbe has taken MMA by storm since transitioning from professional kickboxing full-time. Before making his MMA debut in November 2021, Doumbe was a Glory Kickboxing welterweight champion, amassing a 75-7-1 record in the ring.
After KOing Martell Glenhart at Glory 77, Doumbe focused on his MMA debut, KOing Albi Emiev at Super Combat Universe. All five of his wins in his MMA career have come by knockout, including a nine-second win over Jordan Zebo in September.
Doumbe’s addition to the Bellator Champions Series Paris Card is a welcome boost to the event. The card recently lost the Bellator lightweight title fight between Usman Nurmagomedov and Alexandre Chablis after Nurmagomedov withdrew due to injury.
As of this writing, it is unclear whether Doumbe will fight on the PFL European circuit after his upcoming Bellator debut. There is also the possibility of a rematch with Chamsuddinov later this year.
Doumbe will face a tough test against Anderson, who boasts a 17-4-0 record in his MMA career. He returned to Bellator after losing to Michael Venom Page at Bellator 258.
