The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced the full bracket to begin the second half of the 2024 regular season. The season will resume on June 13, 2024 in Uncasville, Conn., with heavyweight and women’s flyweight divisions competing.
Current Bellator women’s flyweight champion Liz Carmouche returns to face Kana Watanabe in a rematch for the first time in three years. Carmouche first defeated the Japanese sensation in just 35 seconds at Bellator 261 (watch it again here). Carmouche defeated Juliana Velasquez for the third time at PFL 1 last month to get on the points board, while Watanabe also got on the points board by defeating Shanna Young in the same event.
In the heavyweight division, Daniel James scored a buzzer-beating KO victory over Marcelo Gorm at PFL 1 in San Antonio, Texas, earning him six points for the PFL win. He looks to extend that lead when he faces Tyrell Fortune. The two originally faced each other at Bellator 288, and it was initially ruled that James won by technical knockout (TKO), but the fight was overturned to a no contest (NC) after he failed a post-fight drug test. It’s also a rematch.
In the night’s main event, Valentin Moldavsky will look to extend his points lead against Linton Vassell in the 265-pound division, while in the co-main event, Dakota Dycheva will take on Chelsea Hackett in the women’s 125-pound division. Compete against.
