Belal Muhammad could be poised to challenge Leon Edwards for the welterweight title at UFC 304.

Muhammad is currently undefeated in 10 fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, including a no contest against Leon Edwards due to an accidental eye poke. “Remember the Name” was originally expected to challenge Edwards at UFC 296 in December 2023, but that shot went to Colby Covington, marking his third title failure. . Muhammad’s name wasn’t even on the list of three UFC 300 opponents that Edwards was reportedly offered in April. Anik had previously insisted that Muhammad win the long-awaited title.
Edwards, on the other hand, hasn’t lost a match since 2015 and has successfully defended his 170-pound title twice so far.
