Alejandra Lara has a new dance partner in her first match since being released from the PFL.
The former Bellator title challenger was originally scheduled to face Lucero Acosta at the Combat Global event in Miami on May 11th. The event and venue remain in Lara (9-7), but Acosta suffered a fractured meniscus during practice and will face his replacement, Gisela Luna.
The news was announced by the promotion on Wednesday.
Lala is a perennial Bellator contender. Released by PFL in January She was unable to debut in PFL after PFL acquired Bellator in late 2023. The Colombian fighter last fought in February 2023 and is looking to end a four-fight losing streak.
Lara’s new opponent, Luna (5-1), comes after losing to Jady Menezes at a UAE Warriors event last month. The loss halted an undefeated 4-0 start to her MMA career. Luna trains from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
