Week 4 of Dana White’s Contender Series has begun.
All 10 fighters scheduled to compete made the contract record without issue at weigh-in on Monday, a continuation of a positive trend for the Contender Series’ 2024 competition, which has yet to experience a weigh-in error through the first four weeks.
The Contender Series will take place on Tuesday at UFC Apex in Las Vegas and will air on ESPN+ at 8pm ET/5pm PT. The featured bout of the night will be a welterweight bout between Igor Cavalcanti (169.5) and Ko Seok-Hyun (170).
Brazil’s Kakari has started his professional career with a nine-fight winning streak. The Inside Fighters League 170-pound champion has won seven of his matches by KO/TKO and two by submission, all of which came in the first round.
The Busan, South Korea native brings a three-fight winning streak into his bout against Kakari. The 28-year-old is fresh off a 48-second knockout win over Alwin Kinkai under the Angels Fighting Championship banner last December.
