Saturday saw another change to a dynamic UFC on ABC 6 card.
Joylton Luterback (38-9) will withdraw from his scheduled bout against Shalabuddin “Shara Bullet” Magomedov (12-0) on June 22 in Riyadh. Fellow Brazilian Antonio Trocoli (12-3) will take Luterback’s place against Magomedov on three days’ notice. The change was first announced on social media by Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White. Luterback later revealed he was unable to compete due to a substance found in his urine.
This will be Magomedov’s third opponent in his second year at UFC. Pothieria accepted a last-minute bout against Michel Pereira at UFC 301, while Trocoli was scheduled to face Ikram Aliskerov last weekend but agreed to face Robert Whittaker in Saturday’s main event instead of Khamzat Chimaev. This will be Trocoli’s UFC debut, but this is “Malvado’s” fourth bout in his two years with the promotion. Trocoli has won four straight bouts and has finished eight of his 12 career wins.
Meanwhile, Magomedov, a unique striker from Dagestan known for being a wrestler, is undefeated in 12 professional fights, with 10 wins by knockout. “Shala Bullet” won a unanimous decision over Bruno Silva in his promotional debut at UFC 294 in October 2023.
