Bo Nikal’s reaction to Khamzat Chimaev’s dismissal of his performance at UFC 300 probably wasn’t the best.
Chimaev (13-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) criticized Nikkal’s (6-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) wrestling as “bullshit” on X – with a second-round submission of Cody Brundage in Saturday’s UFC 300 main card opener.
This pro wrestling was big bullshit 🤣🤦🏻♂️

Nikkal’s rebuttal?
“I think the fact that he recognizes that and knows what’s going to happen is good for everyone,” Nickal said on “The MMA Hour.” “It’s good for me, it’s good for him, it’s good for the sport. So we’re going to make that fight happen. In response, who were you fighting at 5-0, brother? Some random guy in Europe. Man. For example, I’m fighting in the UFC, UFC 300. So there’s a level to this.”
“Random guy from Europe” who won when Chimaev was also 5-0? None other than Ikram Aliskerov hasn’t lost since getting knocked out by Chimaev in 2019, and is 2-0 in the UFC with two first-round knockouts.
Nickal kind of shot himself in the foot with that statement.
Nikal believes a fight with Chimaev is inevitable. But Chimaev is even further ahead in his UFC title fight as he prepares for his No. 1 contender bout against former champion Robert Whittaker, headlining June 22 in Saudi Arabia.
