Bogdan Guskov revealed he planned to knock out Ryan Spann in the second round of their UFC on ESPN 55 bout.
Guskov made significant strides in his competition against Spann in the co-main event of UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday. The Uzbekistan native was easily taken down by Spann in the opening round and was controlled on the ground. However, Guskov turned things around in the second frame, scoring a come-from-behind knockout against an exhausted Spann.
Guskov claimed that the method of his victory over Spann was premeditated. Guskov was going to concede to Spann in the first round, but Spann would tire in the second round. Aside from being surprised by the apparent size of Superman, Guskov appears to have had a comfortable night at the office.
“As you know, before the game we have a small plan,” Guskov said in the post-match press conference. ‘Give the first round [to] this man [to]
work.Because in the second round he [he would be a] Be a little tired and a very simple fighter.and finish him off [in the] Second round, this [was] my goal, this is like a plan [with] My team…his size is a bit [surprised me], you know, the big one. only this. But wait,

Guskov is expected to join the latest UFC rankings with a victory over Spann. For Guskov, who is one of three Uzbekistan fighters on the UFC’s roster, he will be proud to be the first from his country to be ranked in the promotion’s rankings.
“If you’re in the top 15, [would] He will be the first player from Uzbekistan to reach the top. “This is history, this is my history,” he said. “Two more people came from Uzbekistan and I am very, very happy that I came in first place.” [in] this moment. “
Guskov also revealed that he is good friends with two other Uzbekistan UFC fighters, Mahmud Muradov and Nursulton Ruzhiboev, despite a healthy competition over achievements.
“Both of them, [are my] We are very good friends,” Guskov said.
[we are] speaking, [supporting] each other. It’s like competitive sports for motivation, and that’s a good thing. I think it’s good. ”
