Brendan Allen is scheduled to trade Anthony Hernandez for leather in February 2025.
The middleweight prospects are likely to have a rematch in Seattle on February 22nd. The matchup was first reported by Alex Behunin.
The two first met in the main event of LFA 32 in 2018, with “All In” winning a unanimous decision over Hernandez. Hernandez (13-2) earned a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series shortly afterward and subsequently signed an Ultimate Fighting Championship contract. Hernandez started his journey to the UFC with a 1-2 record, but “Fluffy” has since completely turned his career around. Hernandez is currently on an incredible run of 5th place after six consecutive wins, ahead of the likes of Marc-Andre Barrio, Roman Kopylov and Michel Pereira.
Meanwhile, Allen (24-6) needed a three-fight winning streak with Legacy Fighting Alliance before earning a spot in DWCS in 2019 and a subsequent UFC contract. Since then, Allen has amassed a 12-3 record in the UFC, losing only elite bouts. Allen had recently been on an impressive seven-fight winning streak, but his winning streak ended when he lost a unanimous decision to Nasouddin Imavov in his last fight in September.
