Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya will appear in the championship main event at UFC 305 in special outfits.
The Las Vegas-based promotion unveiled the custom fight shorts that its middleweight competitors will wear in Saturday night’s bout at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The shorts were custom made by Venum, UFC’s official outfitter.
UFC 305: du Plessis vs. Adesanya, Saturday at 10 PM ET on ESPN+. Order now! du Plessis won the middleweight championship on January 20 at UFC 297, defeating Sean Strickland by split decision. The 30-year-old South African comes into the bout with Adesanya on a nine-fight winning streak. He also has notable wins over the likes of Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson and Darren Till.
Adesanya will be returning to action for the first time since vacating the 185-pound belt in a loss to Strickland at UFC 293 last September. “The Last Stylebender” has a 13-3 record in a promotional run that began in 2018.
The UFC 305 main card will air on pay-per-view on ESPN+ starting at 10pm ET/7pm PT, with prelims beginning at 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT on ESPN+ before moving to ESPN and ESPN+ at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
