APEX’s July 20, 2024 card is starting to take shape. And, in one important addition, Dan Ige will face Joan Delson Brito on the main card in a key match for the UFC’s featherweight division.
Ag.Fight was the first to announce the news of the booking.
Dan Ige (18-7) is currently ranked 13th in the always competitive featherweight division. Since suffering a three-game slump in 2021-2022, Ige has won three of his past four games. Dunn has also been the main event half of three of the last four matches. 50K’s most recent bout was a first-round victory over UFC veteran Andre Fili in February.
Joan Delson Brito (17-3-1) is just 5-1 in the UFC. A product of the 2021 Contender Series season, Brito lost his first fight to Bill Algeo by unanimous decision in January 2022. Since that fight, Jo Anderson has won all five of his opponents, including three first-round matches. Brito’s last fight was on his first PPV card, UFC 301, where he defeated Jack Shore by TKO thanks to a bad shin injury. Needless to say, Burrito is on a roll right now. The Brazilian has been calling for a big fight after his recent bouts and this time he will face a ranked opponent.
This is sure to be an exciting and violent match, with the winner moving up in the 145-pound rankings.
There are currently 10 matches confirmed for the July 20 card, but the main event has not yet been announced.
