Derrick Lewis has a different take on Jalin Turner’s walk-off knockout at UFC 300.
Turner faced Renato Carneiro at UFC 300 on April 13th. Turner, who was a heavy favorite going into the bout, dropped Moicano with a left hook near the end of the opening frame. However, Turner strangely chose to walk away, even though referee Herb Dean did not stop the fight. “Moicano” was back on his feet within seconds, coming back to finish “The Tarantula” in the second round.
Lewis, who hasn’t tweeted since February 2022, chose to weigh in on the Turner vs. Moicano fight after the game, declaring it “Herb Dean’s fault.” While many praised Dean for giving “Money” a chance to recover, Lewis believes otherwise. Explaining his own comments in his recent interview, “The Black Beast” said the match should have been stopped when Moicano was eliminated.
“I was watching the fight and Herb should have stopped the fight. “It was one of those fights where my opponent almost got knocked out and he walked away,” Ruiz said of Shaquiel Majuri. told. “He walked away, and the guy ended up losing…Herb didn’t stop fighting, he didn’t stop.” Don’t stop fighting. He was supposed to stop the fight. Because the man was so upset that he couldn’t do it anymore, but because Herb didn’t stop fighting, he recovered. ”
Ruiz is scheduled to face Rodrigo Nascimento on Saturday in the UFC headliner on ESPN 56 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The feared knockout artist is 1-4 in his last five fights, including a lopsided decision loss to Jaylton Almeida.
