Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochaska have no bad blood between them after sharing the Octagon at UFC 311.
Hill faced Prochaska in a high-stakes light heavyweight matchup at UFC 311 in Los Angeles this past weekend. Prochaska repeatedly damaged “Sweet Dreams” and knocked him out in the third frame. Later, Hill posted a clip of himself having drinks with Prochaska and congratulated the “BJP” on the victory.
“First of all, congratulations. [Jiri
Prochazka]. Great adjustment and gave me a hell of a fight!!!,” Hill wrote on Instagram. “I want to thank everyone who has reached out with love and support. I am so grateful to you all!!!” I have never burned so passionately and brightly for my future and growth! !Fighting against the elite of the elite is an honor that I don’t take for granted. It’s a blessing, and yes, it comes with some tough lessons, but this is my journey and I’m going to set the course right!!! Denial and hate are the things that make me feel less than you. It comes from people who know something and want to bring you down to their level. My head is high, my heart is full and I can’t wait to shine again. Sweet Dreams Nation, we move forward and move forward!!!”
Prochaska also detailed his interactions with Hill in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani. Prochaska ran into him at a bar, bought a bottle of Hill Vodka, and the two of them chugged it. Prochaska also had words of praise for Hill as a person. “Sweet Dreams” was doing some really cheeky trash talk leading up to the match, but Prochaska didn’t care.
“We met after a fight at a bar,” Prochaska said. “When we got back to the hotel, I bought him a glass of vodka and we both shot. So I told him, ‘We fight together and we drink together,’ Everything was fine between us.” And so was he. He’s a good guy, a really nice guy. And there were situations, like before the game, where I didn’t know why he was like that – we talked about his speech and all these things. But right now I don’t really care. It’s behind us. ”

Hill won the title against Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 in 2023, but had to immediately vacate the title after tearing his Achilles tendon in a pickup basketball game. The former champion has since suffered back-to-back stoppage losses to Alex Pereira and Prochaska. Meanwhile, Prochaska also won the belt from Teixeira at UFC 275 in 2022, but was forced to give it back due to a shoulder injury. Since then, the Czech fighter has alternated stoppage wins over Aleksandar Rakić and Hill, and two unsuccessful bouts with Pereira for the title.
