Jamahal Hill is wasting no time in his transition from UFC 300.
Less than a week after suffering a knockout loss to Alex Pereira in the main event of the UFC’s landmark card, Hill has already booked his next assignment. It was announced Friday that the former light heavyweight champion will face Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas.
Hill (12-2) came up short in a title fight against Pereira last weekend in Las Vegas. The match ended in the third minute with Pereira landing his signature left hook.

The 34-year-old veteran took some time off in 2020 and also announced his plans for retirement, but has been reinvigorated since returning in 2021. He is scheduled to return in December after defeating Anthony Smith by third round KO.
Hill and Rountree are the No. 3 and No. 8 light heavyweights in the UFC, respectively.
