The lineup for International Fight Week’s annual pay-per-view is slowly but surely filling out.
The latest addition to UFC 303 is a middleweight bout between Joe Pifer and Marc-Andre Barriault, with the promotion announced on Wednesday. The event will take place on June 29th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler.
Pifer (12-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is looking to bounce back from his first loss in the promotion. He earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022 and became one of the show’s most famous pieces, thanks in part to White’s post-game speech, “Be Joe Pifer.” Pifer defeated Alen Amedovski, Gerald Meerschaert, and Abdul Razak Alhassan, but lost a unanimous decision to Jack Hermansson in the promotion’s first main event in February.
Barrio (16-7 MMA, 5-6 UFC) is looking to get back into the win column after suffering a split decision loss to Chris Curtis in January. The loss ended a two-fight setback that consisted of wins over Julian Marquez and Erik Anders.
