When the Professional Fighters League begins its second regular season on June 13, the heavyweight trilogy between Valentin Moldavsky and Linton Vassell will be the main event.
The organization announced Monday two notable PFL 4 games to be held at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. In addition to Moldavsky vs. Vassell, the night’s co-headliner will see Dakota Ditcheva take on Chelsea Hackett in a women’s flyweight contest. Additional bouts on the card, featuring heavyweights and women’s flyweights, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Moldavsky, a former Bellator MMA interim champion, started his 2024 PFL campaign in style by stopping Ante Delja in one round in the league’s first regular season event on April 4th. The 32-year-old Russian last faced Vassell at Bellator 292. However, Moldavsky defeated Vassell by unanimous decision in his first match at Bellator 218.
Meanwhile, Vassell suffered a third-round TKO loss to Denis Goltsov at PFL 1, ending his winning streak in his promotional debut at five. The 40-year-old Killcliffe FC representative currently has a record of 5 wins and 2 losses since his transfer. Heavyweight starting at 205 pounds.
Ditcheva has won his first 11 professional matches, including five appearances in the PFL. The 2023 PFL European Queen started her flyweight season with a first-round TKO win over Lisa Mauldin in PFL1.
Hackett, a former contestant on Dana White’s Contender Series, suffered a first-round submission loss to Jenna Bishop at PFL 1, but the Australian is 4-2 in her short professional career. He achieved a score of 1 minute.
