There were some changes to Ultimate Fighting Championship’s final pay-per-view in 2024.
The promotion announced Wednesday that Kennedy Nizeczuk will replace the injured Talison Teixeira in a heavyweight bout against Łukasz Brzeski at UFC 310. Additionally, Martin Budai was removed from his scheduled heavyweight bout with Rizvan Kniev due to injury. The match has been cancelled. The nature of Teixeira and Boudai’s injuries were not disclosed.
UFC 310 takes place on December 7th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and features a tilt-pit flyweight title bout between Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Askaura. In the co-main event, Shavkat Rakhmonov will face Ian Garry.
After fighting at 205 pounds for most of his promotion, Nzechukwu made his heavyweight debut at UFC 308, defeating Chris Barnett by first-round TKO on October 26. This eliminates the gap between the two fights for the Fortis MMA product. He has 7 wins and 5 losses in his entire UFC career.
Brzeski has lost in four of his five Octagon appearances. Most recently, he suffered a first-round knockout loss at the hands of Mick Parkin at UFC 304 on July 27th.
Bouday is 5-1 under the UFC banner. In his last fight, the 33-year-old Slovak native earned a split decision victory over Andrei Arlovski at UFC 303.
Kniev is still waiting to make his promotional debut. The 32-year-old Dagestani has secured two finishes on Dana White’s Contender Series, most recently stopping Hugo Cunha within a round on August 20th.
