Logan Story will face a change of opponent with less than a week left until his second appearance in the Professional Fighters League.
The organization announced Monday that Story’s original opponent, Laureano Staropoli, has withdrawn from the tournament and will be replaced by Luka Pokrit in a new welterweight bout on Friday at PFL 6. Pokrit was originally scheduled to face Zack Yusora on that night’s undercard.
PFL 6 will take place at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and will feature a featherweight bout between Brendan Loughnane and Justin Gonzalez as the main event. Storey vs. Pokrit is currently scheduled as the co-main event. The main card will air on ESPN and ESPN+ at 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT, with prelims streaming at 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT on ESPN+.
Story, a former interim Bellator champion and South Dakota native, is coming off a second-round knockout loss. Shamil Musaev at PFL 3 on April 19. His record includes wins over the likes of Michael Page, Brennan Ward, Neiman Gracie and AJ Buckley.
The Moldova native has won 10 straight bouts as a pro, most recently at Bellator 299 in September, where he defeated Roman Faraldo by submission in the first round.
