Ho Chi Minh City — The tournament titled “Master of Fight Championship” will set a new stage for domestic martial artists and entertain supporters with new formats and thrilling experiences.
The event (MFC) is jointly organized by MCV Group and Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Corporation (VIMMA) and is scheduled to be held every three months in Ho Chi Minh City.
Seven to eight matches will be held in each event, and domestic and international athletes will be invited to compete under the message of “Glory to the Brave Warriors.”
Athletes will compete in three different martial arts genres: mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, and kickboxing.
According to organizers, MFC aims to combine professional sports competition with an engaging entertainment experience. It is a stage where talented fighters showcase their skills and strength, bringing joy and excitement to supporters.
“MFC is a completely new format, not only following the usual style seen in Vietnam, but also a martial arts event for a diverse audience,” said Duy Anh, head of the organizing committee.
“The competition is not only mixed martial arts, but also focuses on Muay Thai and kickboxing.
“It is difficult to organize an event with such a diverse content, but we have received very strong support from the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
“The first event will be held on November 25 at the MCV complex, which can accommodate around 500 spectators. Additionally, additional entertainment activities will be organized outside the competition area,” Ang said.
MFC is also expected to create positive interactions between martial arts fans in general and younger generations in particular, especially Gen Z. It is hoped that young people will be able to see first-hand the competitive spirit of professional fighters at MFC and be inspired to take part in martial arts and sports in general.
As planned, the first MFC will include players from well-known domestic clubs such as No 1 Muay Club, LSC, Warrior MMA, Phú Thọ Muay – Kickboxing Academy, Art Fight Muay Thai Gym, Long Xuyên Fight Club, as well as foreign players. will also participate.

The main draw will be a match between two-time national Lion champion Pham Van Nam and Russia’s Roman Kokulkin, a powerful 60kg heavyweight.
Kokarkin has achieved many great achievements during his career. He won medals in various martial arts styles including sambo, wrestling, boxing, and jiu-jitsu.
“His jiu-jitsu skills are pretty good, but in fighting MMA there are many other factors that are important, not just jiu-jitsu, and I am confident that I can beat him. I have 100 percent confidence in our victory,” Nam said.
He also issued a challenge to his rivals: “Watch out, I will fight using both striking and grappling techniques.”
In response, Mr Cokerkin said he knew Mr Nam was a Lion Champion and had researched the Vietnamese carefully. He also spent months training hard to prepare for the competition. A thrilling match with Nam was expected.
