The new rankings will appear after UFC 300.
There was a lot of movement within the division after this monumental event took place last weekend, with some saying it was the best card in UFC history.
Light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and UFC women’s strawweight champion Zhang Weili defend their titles with spectacular performances, while Max Holloway becomes the third BMF in history with a shocking last-second KO win over Justin Gaethje He was crowned champion.

As you probably heard last week, UFC 300 featured 12 former or current champions and 20 of the 26 fighters ranked. Check out where they rank in the rankings among other candidates in this new update from John Morgan.
Max Holloway was probably the biggest winner of UFC 300, financially taking home a $600,000 bonus, but how could he not be the winner? Speaking of money, Renato・Moikano’s ranking will be explained later. As for “Blessed”, he is ranked 9th in the lightweight rankings.
This somehow happened right after Holloway knocked out the aforementioned Justin Gaethje, who was ranked No. 2 at the time. With this loss, Gaethje has dropped one place to third place, while Holloway is six points behind ‘The Highlight’.
But Holloway commanded more respect in the pound-for-pound conversation. The longtime featherweight moved up from No. 14 to No. 6 in the official pound-for-pound rankings after stopping one of the best lightweights in the world. Holloway holds second place in his home weight class of 145 pounds.
Additionally, at 155, Arman Tsarukyan has surpassed Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira to become the new No. 1 contender. Tsarukyan won’t replace Oliveira in the pound-for-pound rankings, but after the loss, “de Bronx” has gradually slipped from seventh to 11th place.
Renato Moicano defeated Jalin Turner, who fell to 12th place, by TKO, moving him into the top 10 lightweight division at No. 10. Moicano doesn’t seem to agree that Holloway should be ranked one spot higher than him, rather than even higher.
“Money Moicano’s No. 10… Max Holloway’s No. 9?!? There’s no way he would punch me. If there was a no-punching rule, I would fight Max Holloway,” Moicano said in “X ” he wrote jokingly.
Money Moikano number 10… Max Holloway number 9!? 👀
No way he hit me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Diego Lopez debuted at No. 14 in the UFC featherweight rankings with a quick success over Sodiq Yousaf on the undercard of UFC 300. The milestone comes less than a year after Lopez first stepped into the Octagon against Movsar Evloev at UFC 288. “Super” Sodiku is currently ranked 15th and his ranking is on the line.
Another ranking debut at 145 pounds is none other than Aljamain Sterling. The former champion decided to ditch his No. 2 ranking at bantamweight and pursue his second world title at featherweight. Sterling is now a top-10 fighter in the division, having dethroned Calvin Cathal for the No. 8 spot.
Qatar fell to ninth place in his MMA return bout after losing three rounds to “The Funk Master.”
Jiri Prochaska clinched the No. 1 seed in the UFC light heavyweight division with a thrilling TKO victory over Aleksandar Rakic. Rakic holds on to fifth place, while former champion and No. 1 contender Jamahal Hill was knocked out early by champion Alex Pereira, dropping him to third place. Magomed Ankalaev moved up one place to second place.
Kayla Harrison passed her first UFC test with a second-round submission of Holly Holm. With her first win over a former champion, Harrison moved up to No. 4 in the women’s bantamweight division and No. 13 in the pound-for-pound rankings. Holm, 42, moved from fifth to sixth.
Despite dropping champion Zhang Weili in defeat, last week’s title challenger and number one contender Yang Xiaonan has been replaced by second-ranked Tatiana Suarez.
