Initial ticket prices for UFC 303 predict that the promotion will likely surpass live gate records.
Tickets for the June 29 pay-per-view event (ESPN+) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will go on sale April 26 through AXS. The event is headlined by a five-round welterweight bout between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.
Multiple people with knowledge of the situation recently informed MMA Junkie of the setting of the starting price. The first UFC 303 ticket price category is $3,005 (center riser). $2,505 (bottom of lower level); $2,005 (end value of lower level); $1,755 (lower level, middle); $1,505 (highest value of lower level). $1,255 (mezzanine level); $1,005 (mezzanine height). $705 (top center). $605 (top corner); $505 (upper level, lowest level); and $405 (high price at the end of upper level).
This number reflects dynamic pricing, Platinum designation, and price before taxes and fees. This number does not represent second-party resales.
Dynamic pricing is an option used by many organizations and artists to vary ticket prices based on demand. This technique has become more popular over the past decade. The higher the demand and the lower the supply, the higher the price will adjust.
Although we’re not sure, fans who want to get tickets to UFC 303 may be willing to pay more than the prices listed above. Either way, the starting price indicates that this promotion has a very good chance of breaking the gate record currently held by UFC 205 when compared to other events, including last week’s milestone UFC 300.
UFC 205, held at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November 2016, was headlined by Eddie Alvarez vs. Conor McGregor and earned $17.7 million in prize money.
UFC 300 had the third-biggest gate in promotion history at $16,508,823, so a side-by-side comparison of the two starting prices shows that a path to record-breaking numbers for UFC 303 is clearly possible.
The ticket price category for UFC 300 was $2,000 (floor). $1,500 (center riser); $1,250 (bottom of lower level); $1,000 (end of lower level); $750 (lower level, middle); $600 (lower level to highest); $500 (mezzanine). $400 (mezzanine height). $350 (top center). $300 (upper corner); $250 (upper level to lower level); and $200 (upper level edge height).
The current lineup for UFC 303 is:
Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler Andre Fili vs. Cub Swanson Gillian Robertson vs. Michelle Waterson-Gomez Carlos Hernandez vs. Rei Tsuruya Marc-Andre Barrio vs. Joe Pifer
