Movsar Evloev is intrigued by the idea of facing former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling.
After former bantamweight titleholder Sterling (24-4 MMA, 16-4 UFC) made a successful featherweight debut with a unanimous decision victory over Calvin Kattar at UFC 300, undefeated title contender Evloev ( (18-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) Possibility of next battle.
“With the two grapplers, the way they’re put together, I think it could be a very fun fight,” Sterling said on “The MMA Hour” with Ariel Helwani earlier this week.
Evloev, who defeated Arnold Allen by unanimous decision at UFC 297 in January and is looking for another win to elevate his standing and secure a title shot, took Sterling at his word.
He responded on social media, praising Mr Stirling as “brave” for calling for a challenge no one had previously been able to pass.
“It takes courage for you to tell me about me,” Evloev wrote. X. “I like it! Call the UFC and fight me. I’m ready.”

Neither fighter has announced a date for the fight, but if it happens, it would add even more depth to the 145-pound title fight, with the next title fight between Ilya Topria and BMF champion Max Holloway. Dew.
