Featherweights Khan Ofri and Myron Santos faced off in the final bout of The Ultimate Fighter 32 on Saturday’s main card at UFC Las Vegas 96.
Just like on the show, Santos struggled to make weight, but was 146 pounds when he took off his clothes on Friday, while Ofri seemed to have no problems making the cut.
The winner of Orfi vs. Santos, as always, will land a six-figure UFC contract.
Early in round one, Santos landed two right hands and a knee. Ofri couldn’t hold on any longer and clinched. Santos played good defense, finding space to land right hands. Ofri was clearly looking to take Santos to the mat and pressed forward. Santos pressed him against the cage and dodged underhooks to get some distance. Back in the center of the cage, Santos had success with teeps and jabs. An outside leg kick from Santos nearly swept Ofri. A kick followed, sweeping Ofri for a split second. Ofri couldn’t do anything and Santos ended the round with a head kick.
In the second round, Santos started his attack with leg kicks and a right to the body. With Ofri clearly on the back foot, Santos started to ease up on his attacks. In response, Santos hit Ofri with a right, but he countered with a left to the jaw, putting Ofri to sleep in spectacular fashion, and taking the featherweight title at TUF 32!
OFFICIAL RESULT: Myron Santos defeats Khan Ofri by knockout (left hook), round 2, 1 minute 30 seconds
