Former UFC star Nate Diaz has not faced accusations of alleged incidents at a Las Vegas nightclub in 2024.
Last year, Diaz was quoted for the battery. This was a misdemeanor that allowed Dias to be sent to prison for six months while he was allegedly suspected of Fracas at the Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. On August 25th, he and his friends reportedly lined up for something when security approached them, and Diaz gets caught up in camera, pushing the guard and hitting it with an open face. He then turned several times and left the scene before police arrived.
On each ESPN on Thursday, the charges against Diaz were dropped as cases against him were dismissed by a local Las Vegas court. According to Diaz’s lawyer Ross Goodman, the video showing Diaz attacking the security guard lacked significant details.
“The selected portion of the video that went viral omitted the prelude in which Nate pushed back the security in his face and created space. It appears that one security guard repeatedly pushed Nate’s face and called for conflict by reaching him.
Fan favorites left the promotion after beating Tony Ferguson in 2022, and boxed Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal in 2023 and 2024 respectively. Diaz recently expressed his interest in returning to the tissue where he cut his teeth, lamenting the lack of stars that the UFC has recently grown.
