Diaz vs. Masvidal: What was said?
UFC icon Masvidal said ahead of the rematch that he didn’t enjoy working with Diaz.
The announcement of future matches was delayed, and “Gamebred” placed the blame on the “Diva” opponent.
“At one point, Las Vegas was full, a lot of places were full, so New York was more likely and he was like, ‘I won’t fight in New York.’ I won’t fight,” he told The MMA Hour. told.
“I was like, ‘Oh my god. What’s the beef? This is boxing. That’s mixed martial arts.’ [where] You yelled your ass off. But I understand. Are you okay’.
“And in another diva moment, he also said he wouldn’t fight if it was in Miami.
“‘I won’t fight in Miami.'” “Well, I had a bad time in a boxing match in Texas last time, so I won’t fight in Texas.”
“What do you mean?! Booking a venue of that size is not something you can do in a week or a weekend.
“It happens months in advance. … So there’s all these issues and it’s like, dude, I’m just trying to have a fucking fight.
“What are you trying to do? It could have been somewhere else in April, but this guy wasn’t trying to do that, so he felt very diva-ish.”
