As the martial arts world inches closer to the biggest Pro Fighters League event of 2024, the Professional Fighters League has released a final trailer to raise awareness of the pay-per-view event on October 19th.
‘Battle of the Giants’ headliner highlights former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira’s impact draws crowd and helicopter attention , the way they burst through the streets to their games needs no words. A clash occurred in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It will be a historic night for the PFL with Ngannou’s promotional debut and a stacked main card. The co-main event will feature Mixed Martial Arts’ only Grand Slam champion, Cris Cyborg. Cris Cyborg will return to action for the first time since Bellator 300. Her opponent will be current champion Larissa Pacheco, the only woman to carry the championship. Two PFL weight classes.
The mega-event will feature a third title fight, with Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen taking on Fabian Edwards in a rematch from their 2023 scrap. Eblen won by third-round TKO in their first fight, but Edwards bounced back with a win over Aaron Jeffery in the No. 1 contender’s bout and earned a second chance at the strap.
The card also includes a high-profile fight between former champion AJ McKee and recent free agent signing Paul Hughes.
PFL’s “Battle of the Giants” pay-per-view event will be held on October 19th and will be broadcast live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will be available on ESPN+ PPV in the U.S. and DAZN PPV worldwide.
