Sharavdin Magomedov believes Michael Page is more reliable than Paulo Costa.
Magomedov was recently asked about Costa and “MVP” as potential opponents for his next fight. ‘Shara Barrett’ would like to fight both, but Costa does not consider him very reliable given the Brazilian’s history of withdrawing from fights. Magomedov would prefer Page, who is also a dynamic striker.
Despite hailing from Dagestan, home to some of the world’s best wrestlers, Magomedov is primarily a striker and has spent much of his career fighting in Muay Thai and Lethwei. And Magomedov has no intention of turning into a wrestler for the possibility of facing a flashy striker like Page.
“I would like to fight them. Of course, Costa is not stable enough, so Page is a better option,” Magomedov recently told Red Corner MMA. “He withdraws a lot…I want to fight Page. He’s always ready to go. I went to see his fight in Las Vegas [UFC 303]. I think he’s an interesting guy, or a “cool guy.” It’ll be exciting… I don’t think I’ll ever throw away my game plan. He is the one who appears on the canvas. So I have to ground and pound him a little bit. I’m not going to wrestle him. I’m going to stick to my way of fighting, my plan, just like I always have. ”
Page defeated Kevin Holland in his debut at UFC 299 in March of this year, then dropped a unanimous decision over Ian Garry at UFC 303 in June.
Magomedov, on the other hand, is undefeated in 15 professional fights, including four in the UFC. “Shara Barrett” most recently scored a one-of-a-kind double spinning backfist knockout win over Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 in October of this year. Despite competing three times in four months, Magomedov still wanted to compete at UFC Macau on Nov. 23. However, the UFC advised him to take some time off.
“I wanted to fight in Macau next, but the UFC insisted that I take some time off and get hungry. I appreciate the consideration of the UFC, but I am always ready. , ready to perform wherever they want, even in Saudi Arabia.”
👊Shara Barrett revealed that she wanted to fight at the Yan vs. Figueiredo fight night in Macau on November 23rd, but was told by the UFC to take some time off:
