Shavkat Rakhmonov has questions about the timing of Belal Muhammad’s exit from UFC 310.
Rakhmonov was scheduled to challenge Muhammad for the welterweight title in the main event of UFC 310 on December 7th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. However, Muhammad withdrew from the match due to severe swelling in his foot due to a bone infection.
Mr Rakhmonov is now questioning the recent nature of Mr Muhammad’s injury. The undefeated Kazakhstani believes Muhammad’s injury is older than he advertised, as he claims to have recently heard about the champion’s training. According to Nomad, Muhammad could have fought at UFC 310 if he wanted to, but he chose to be more cautious.
“From what I heard and what I know, he was injured long before it was made public,” Rakhmonov recently told Ariel Helwani. “Because I [heard about]
He has been training recently. Perhaps he just posted the photo recently, but the problem has been going on for much longer. so he thinks so [would be] I can fight in December, but it’s not like I lacked confidence. [was] But I’m paying close attention to that. ”

Rakhmonov quickly requested an interim title shot against former champion Kamaru Usman (20-4) to protect his card.
“I believe I have a suitable opponent,” Rachmanov said. “I’m willing to save my card for the interim belt, and I think Usman is [worthy] My opponent will probably also want to be prepared to confront me. ”
Rakhmonov’s manager, Sayat Abdrakhmanov, also confirmed that the UFC is definitely negotiating a fight with Usman as well.
“Yes, there are ongoing negotiations and obviously discussions are taking place,” Abdrakhmanov said. “I don’t know if they are talking to anyone else, but they have definitely made an offer to Kamal as well.”
