Two new bouts have been added to the UFC Fight Night 245 lineup.
Brady Heistand (8-2) will face Jake Hadley (11-3) in a bantamweight showdown on October 19. The bout was announced by Iridium Sports Agency.
Hiestand has won three straight bouts and finished his last two since losing a split decision to Ricky Tarsius in his UFC debut in 2021. He submitted Garrett Armfield in the third round in June of this year, marking the first time “Bam Bam” has fought more than twice in a year at UFC.
Meanwhile, Hadley, who started his career at flyweight, seems to have found a new home at bantamweight since his last fight. The Briton graduated from the Contender Series and began his UFC career at flyweight with a 2-3 record. When Ramon Taveras withdrew in July of this year, Hadley was forced to move up a weight class to face Irish prospect Caolan Loughran at UFC 304 in Manchester, England. Hadley was underdog in the bout, but he overturned the odds with his striking to win by unanimous decision.
Meanwhile, Daniel Pineda (28-16 KOs) will face Darren Elkins (28-11 KOs) in a veteran featherweight showdown on the same card. The booking was confirmed by Iridium Sports Agency.
Pineda is 5-7 with one no-contest in his two fights at UFC. The 39-year-old is coming off back-to-back losses to Nathaniel Wood and Alex Caceres.
Meanwhile, Elkins’ UFC career dates back to 2010. A fan-favorite known for his hard-hitting punches, Elkins has won four of his last six bouts inside the Octagon. “The Damage” Elkins submitted TJ Brown in his last bout in October 2023 before suffering a “freak” training injury that resulted in him breaking his leg.
