The Professional Fighters League has added two prospects from the United Arab Emirates to its roster.
The organization announced on Wednesday that flyweight Hadi Omar Al-Hussaini and featherweight Youssef Al-Usani have signed exclusive multi-fight deals with the PFL. Al Hussaini and Al Usani are expected to compete in a showcase match during this year’s PFL MENA season, before joining the seasonal format in 2025.
“We are very pleased to welcome two of the UAE’s top prospects to PFL MENA,” Gustavo Firmino, vice president of fighter operations at PFL MENA, said in a release. “PFL’s mission is to find the best fighters in every region of the world. Through our partnership with SRJ Sports, PFL is able to discover and sign outstanding fighters like Al Hussaini and Al Usani. We know they have the potential to become world stars in this sport.”
Al Hussaini has a record of 5-0-1 since beginning his professional MMA career in 2021. He primarily fights for promotion with the UAE Warriors, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Adel Ain Zarqa at Middle East Fighting Championship 3 on March 8th. Al Hussaini is currently training at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California.
Al Usani, on the other hand, boasts a record of 3 wins and 1 loss, and even surpassed Buzhamrain Abderrahim in his last appearance at MEFC 3. The featherweight is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is best known for appearing on the UAE-based TV show Ramadan.
PFL MENA will debut on Friday at the Green Hall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
