When the UFC returns to Abu Dhabi, the Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight title will be on the line.
Main eventers Ilya Topria and Max Holloway both weighed in successfully during the UFC 308 weigh-ins. The same goes for the rest of the matches on the card, including the much-anticipated middleweight bout between Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker. The event will officially proceed with a total of 13 matches.
Topria (15-0) will put both his undefeated record and featherweight championship on the line. ‘El Matador’ has a perfect 7-0 record inside the Octagon and is looking to capture the belt with an impressive KO win over Alexander Volkanovski. The 27-year-old also has wins over Josh Emmett, Bryce Mitchell and Ryan Hall. Topria weighed in at 145 pounds on the dot for the second pay-per-view main event.
Meanwhile, Holloway (26-7) will aim to regain the belt he lost to Volkanovski in 2019. ‘Blessed’ has shown he has plenty of fitness left since knocking out Justin Gaethje in the lightweight division and knocking off the featherweight contenders. Chan Sung-jong, Arnold Allen, Yair Rodriguez. The 32-year-old Hawaiian also weighed just 145 pounds.
UFC 308 has an early start time of 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT for the prelims and 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT for the pay-per-view main card. It will be broadcast in its entirety on ESPN+.
