Ultimate Fighting Championship concluded its 2024 schedule with UFC on ESPN 63 this weekend, with weigh-ins and official announcements.
All 26 fighters competed on the promotion’s final card of the year. The highlight of the card is the fight between welterweight contenders Colby Covington and Joaquin Buckley. Both fighters entered the five-round main event weighing 171 pounds. There will be a total of 13 matches on this card.

Covington (17-4) narrowly missed out on a title fight against Leon Edwards, but will be looking to get back into the championship range. “Chaos” has lost two of his last three fights, coming off a win over Jorge Masvidal between decision losses to Edwards and Kamaru Usman. At 36 years old, his best days are likely behind him, but a lone fight in 2024 will show just how much strength he has in store.
Meanwhile, this will be the biggest fight of Buckley’s career (20-6). ‘The New Mantha’ is on an impressive five-fight winning streak, including victories over Stephen Thompson, Vicente Luque and Alex Morono. The 30-year-old Mantha has had five fights to date. He’s never done it before, but this is his win. It’s his first UFC main event, so it’ll be interesting to see how he performs under the spotlight.
The main card of UFC on ESPN 63 will air on ESPN2 and ESPN+ starting at 10pm ET/7pm PT. Qualifying begins at 7pm ET/4pm PT on ESPN+.
