Professional Fighters League prospect Chanel Dyer follows Fleetwood Mac’s wisdom: “Go your own way.”
Chanel Dyer (5-0) will be looking to establish herself as a new star in the 2024 PFL European semi-finals, breaking away from fellow undefeated British talent Dakota Dycheva. In 2023, Dicheva will move up the flyweight division in PFL Europe, and Dyer plans to do the same. She will face Valentina Scatizzi (3-2) in the PFL Europa 3 playoffs in her home country of England on September 28th, and bettors have her as the heavy favorite.
Dyer is a Muay Thai practitioner who switched to MMA and turned professional in 2023, having already competed twice under the PFL banner. Her first appearance was in a non-tournament match against Luisa Fernanda Cifuentes, and her performance earned her an invitation to the 2024 PFL Europe slot. Speaking to the media before facing Scatizzi, Dier was well aware of the comparisons to Ditcheva. Paying tribute to the 13-0 fighter, Dyer revealed he intends to carve his own path to the PFL world stage.
“She won the European season last year and I’m going to win it again this year. I hope she wins the PFL Global season this year,” Dyer said. “I’m going to try and do the same thing next year. She killed it last year, so I’m obviously trying to emulate what she’s doing, and I’m going to kill it this year. So Then we’ll both be double [Europe and global] You’ll be champion at the end of this. ”
“The Nightmare,” who has a five-win record and four knockouts, plans to keep pace with Dicheva. “Dangerous Dakota” has 11 wins by knockout and 12 stoppages in his 13 fight history.
“I think she has 11 knockouts, so I’d like to keep that streak going. I’m 5-0 with four KOs, so I’d like to keep that streak going as long as I can.” she said.
Since then, Dicheva has dominated the PFL World Women’s Flyweight Season, claiming a one-round stoppage to earn a ticket to the $1 million final. Although he received a lot of criticism throughout his first year on the PFL’s global roster, the 26-year-old from Manchester, England, left no doubts by sending whoever the matchmaker set in front of him. I decided not to. A win for Dyer, who has been watching Ditcheva’s success like a hawk, would see him advance to the PFL European finals, where he could repeat Ditcheva’s success.
