One of the memorable images from the first event of the 2025 Ultimate Fighting Championship was of Viktoria Dudakova slapping one of her coaches after losing to Fatima Klein.
After all, Dudakova has a more personal relationship with the object of her anger, he is also her husband. On Tuesday, Dudakova released a statement apologizing for the incident.
“Emotions have calmed down a little,” Dudakova wrote on Instagram. “First of all, I would like to apologize to my husband and coach. I was upset that he did not turn away from me and enter the cage during such a difficult moment. This is not an excuse and , I’m not looking for excuses for myself either. I did something wrong, I couldn’t control my emotions. I set a bad example for the athletes and the younger generation. I also apologize to all the sports fans. Thank you everyone for being with me.”
